IAmA a 24 year old Syrian citizen currently living in Canada, Ask Me Anything

Born and raised in Damascus, I moved to Canada to continue my education but have kept close ties with friends and family back in Syria. If you have any questions about Syria pre-revolution or if you'd like to ask me anything about my perspective on the current events, post away! I will be gone for the next couple hours, but will start answering questions later tonight.

Edited to give a bit more background info about myself: I was born and raised in Damascus in a Christian household. My family moved back and forth between Canada and Syria when I was young (stayed long enough in Canada to become Canadian citizens). I moved to Canada in high school to complete my studies here and have spent every summer in Syria until the country became unstable. Other than immediate family, my entire family is still in Syria spread out in different cities, and I still keep in touch with my childhood friends. Please note, in all my answers I am merely expressing my humble opinion and trying to be as unbiased as possible.
