Sixth form is actually a horrible period of life

It's bad for so many reasons. All your friends choose different subjects and you spend a fraction of the time you did in GCSEs with them (if you are like me, then you've already sifted through the entire yeargroup and found the only people you would call friends, so it's not like you make more during the sixth form); you are under constant university application pressure right off the bat, as you are competing against the entire country (or even world depending on where you want to do); you have less than a year to decide on what feels like the next 5 years; you turn 18 and you will still get told off for doing things like wearing a coat indoors; you will never be able to switch off as there is always more you could be doing; if you live more than an hour away from school like I do and want good grades, bye-bye free time; you are at the mercy of your teachers, and unfortunately if you get a bad one, they are NOT going to care ONE BIT about your learning and you will have to teach yourself the syllabus; you watch your friends and people around you break down, or change themselves for worse to impress and pander to the teachers, or develop superiority complex--all of this with the knowledge that you can't escape for two years.

If you're me, then you also have a friend telling you he will unlive himself multiple times throughout the year, and you will be diagnosed with autism and depression, and you'll want to die too.
