Central Air, no furnace, struggling to keep house warm. Phoenix AZ

New homeowner, home built 2008, unit installed Jan 2023. Had a tech come out and check my unit after I noticed it short cycling in the mornings, 2-3 times in the span of 2-3 mins. He installed a starter kit or something, meant to help the unit run more efficiently. Also had him check the thermostat with everything else and he said it was all good.

Now, at night my unit is struggling to keep my house at 76 and at some point it will stop running completely, won’t run again til about 9:30-10:30, I’m assuming this has to do with outside temps and it freezing itself over running the heat, I’ve asked several of my neighbors and a few others if they have this problem and they do not. I have resorted to a space heater to help alleviate some of the workload on the unit, which has helped and it is not frozen over this morning.

Realistically though, I’m certain this is an issue and not just the way my unit is supposed to work. Correct me if I am blatantly wrong lol

I have changed all filters, cleaned the coils on the unit, and inspected all wires and connections where I can see without a tech helping me. Nothing seems out of order and I am at a loss. We have a tech coming again to check everything, but wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue and knows what is causing it. Thanks in advance!
