Valid in every way

Not sure who needs to hear this but it’s okay if your story doesn’t look like someone else’s. If you figured yourself out later in life, that doesn’t make you any less valid. So what if you didn’t fit the “classic signs” of being trans as a kid? Most people don’t.

Those stereotypes are just media fluff exaggerations that don’t account for the infinite ways people experience their gender. Your path isn’t meant to match anyone else’s, and it’s not supposed to check off some arbitrary list of “signs.” You don’t owe anyone an explanation or a story that makes sense to them!

Your life is uniquely yours, and that’s what makes it beautiful. You’re not late, you’re not behind, and you didn’t “miss” anything. You’re here now, and that’s what matters. You’re valid. You’re trans. You’re one of a kind. And even on the days when it feels hard or complicated, you’re still amazing exactly as you are :)
