Phone number

So, I(22M)'ve been trying to date for a few years now with limited success. I either got to know a woman through a dating app or in person. Either way that usually led to someone giving the other person their Instagram handle or Facebook or Snapchat. Due to recent events I, along with my friends and family, have decided to boycott everything Meta related while Snapchat has been on my blacklist for a year now due to privacy concerns. This has lead my main apps for communication being Discord, Signal and text through sms. In my experience no one knows what signal is, discord is seen as too geeky and everyone is afraid to give their phone number to text or call. I've literally had a few women wanting to give me their Ig handles only for me to tell them I don't have it, and if I could have their phone number instead, or discord or heck, I'll even be happy with an email. They immediately became completely disinterested. Idk what to do. I don't want to rejoin any of these social media sites due to privacy concerns yet I cannot come in contact with a girl who is willing to give me her Instagram. Thoughts?
