Can’t Reset Password

Hi, I’m hoping someone can help me. I uninstalled and reinstalled Instagram on my new phone because there was an error that wasn’t letting me post. I just got this phone & I realized that my email and phone number associated with my account were old and inaccessible so on my old phone I tried to update my email & I verified and it worked. Then, when I reinstalled it and logged in with my password I recently reset, it’s making me verify my identity.

I thought it was fine because I had just updated my email to be one I can log into, but it didn’t work & still had the old one. I recovered my old email that’s still linked to the account and put it in the code it sent to me. It took me to a screen basically saying “Change your password to secure your account” & I put in new passwords.

That didn’t work & it keeps saying “choose a new password that isn’t the same as your current.” Which it isn’t the same as any of my previous ones & I keep logging in with that password and it takes me to the same verification process. It’s now stuck in a loop where nothing I do is working. It’s sending me the same verification codes and giving me that same error message.

If anyone knows what to do, or have any guidance, I’d appreciate it. I don’t know what to do and I really need to access my account. Thank you!
