Peninsula or Island? (Repost)
We're renovating our open-plan kitchen, which flows into the dining and living areas. Currently, we have a peninsula, but we're considering replacing it with an island. An island would give us more storage, but we're concerned about creating a narrow walkway. The peninsula provides a bit more kitchen space, and we currently use a small, movable 3x3' island, but it's inconvenient to constantly reposition it. Another advantage of keeping the peninsula is that we wouldn't need to alter our current lighting setup.
We'd appreciate any advice on which option would work best. Thank you!
