Preparing To Celebrate Another Birthday Alone

Discussion

Hello everyone! I am new to this sub-reddit. Reaching out to stave off loneliness. My birthday is Saturday. it hurts to celebrate alone. I will be in mid-50's. Always alone. Black sheep of the family. They're all deceased now. No romance in my life. I have a beautiful mid-20's daughter but it's not her responsibility to celebrate me. I celebrate her. She wants to take me to Montreal but then plans changed.

I am game for just about anything. Many varied interests which indulge. travel, theatre, walks in nature, cooking/baking, binge viewing, long drives to nowhere.

It's just doing it alone has become devastatingly disheartening.

How do you celebrate yourself or others?

Smiles to all.
