Are we expending a shortage or high regulation in condoms?

❓ Question ❓

I fully expect women's BC will not be available so I got an IUD. My health plan does not cover sterilization. I'm pretty paranoid so I like to use condoms along the IUD for an extra layer of protection, considering pregnancy with IUD is quite dangerous and I expect a lack of healthcare.

But condoms are men's BC and I doubt they will try to limit men's freedom as they do ours. Would it be worthwhile to stock up on condoms or should we be using that money on other necessies?

An alternative is stop all sex altogether, which may be what I end up doing anyway but I have never believed relying on "abstinence" is effective.
