Anyone else get a bullshit response from the legal department about opting out of their arbitration / class action clause?

Discussion

The last two times that they updated the terms of service, I actually read them, and it gives detailed instructions about who to email and what to say in order to opt out of their bullshit arbitration/no class action agreement clause.

The first time, they said that they noticed suspicious activity on my account so that they couldn’t process my request.

Then the terms of service were updated again - I sent a second request in, and now say that you have to opt out within 30 days of first using the service, but I’m pretty sure that it is unenforceable to update your terms of service to retroactively present the “option“ of opting out of something who statute of limitations is expired.

Has anyone else noticed this?
