We broke up after almost 3 years

I (27 FtM) broke up with my GF (25 MtF). We had been long distance for the entirety of our relationship. We would see each other every 3-4 months. We both were hoping we could continue it, but because of my BPD, it was impossible for me to manage my emotions and struggling with emotional permanence. We also were engaging in ENM, but it was putting a toll on my mental health. We both discussed it and realized that neither of us were willing to sacrifice our lives to breach the gap, or at least were unable to because of responsibilities. I don’t regret my experiences with her, but I am regretting that we were long distance.
