Is my Kahler bridge broken?

I have a kahler x bridge on one of my guitars and I originally had ernie ball beefy strings and I switched to power slinkys, but still when I try to set up my kahler to use the whammy bar, the bridge goes in forward and does not keep tuning. Maybe im setting it up incorrectly? Ive heard something about using heavier springs inside the kahler but im not sure. If anyone can help it'd be greatly appreciated
