Tongue piercing

Hi!! I've had my tongue pierced for 4 weeks (baddie) n the bar is like super long now so I need this shit changing n also the bottom ball is lowkey really dirty,

BUT I can't get the bottom ball over my bottom teeth. Like I can, but psychologically I can't let myself it's horrifying and I did not foresee this issue

I did it once by accident ( my tongue jerked back n clung to my teeth ouchie) n I had to lift my tongue up and back into my mouth and now I'm unsure on what to do, any tips would be soo cunty helpful!!!
