Set example

Instead of being xenophobic or criticising foreigners

-- how foreigners assimilate depend largely on our de facto not de jure culture (belief system)

--- if they observed most Singaporeans they come across as rude/selfish, and when they get punished by the culture for being nice e.g. someone cut their queue or snide at their niceness -- guess what they will adapt to this new lower standard to survive

Instead of complaining how rude and covetoeus foreigners are -- be so strong in the de facto culture of being anti-covetous and civil and everything else will follow suit - it is up to the locals to positively influence them and not for them to without any nudge fit in to an imaginary righteous standard.

Sincerely,

A local
