Childcare and the 100K salary dilemma

I recently had a "recertification" for Childcare for working parents declined. I have an opportunity to ask for Mandatory review in 30 days. This is for the under 2 years old.

I am hoping to hear from others who have been in this situation and suggestions for next steps?

Some background...

I was in an independent contractor for most part of 2024 with a day rate. I did not contribute to pension during this time. Subsequently I took up a Permanent role in Nov 24 (i.e. 5 months to go for Tax year end) with total comp >100K and have been contributing to pension by additional salary sacrifice. This will not bring net income below 100K as I am only contributing from Nov 24. I understand I can do a large contribution to SIPP, but this is something I dont plan to for 2024-25 year. However for next tax year 2025-26, my contributions will bring adjusted net income below 100K.

Based on the above, when can I apply for childcare benefits for working parents to be eligible?

I believed the recertification was for term starting April 2025 - which is in next tax year and hence I thought my income for next tax year will be considered.

Does it make sense to ask for review given my situation?

Also, are there any calculators out there which shows how much pension contributions affect the net adjusted income - both self and employer? And the net effect on take home salary with costs saved on childcare?

Thanks
