"Marlboro lights"
So I'm a cashier at a gas station, and every single day, I get dozens of customers asking for "Marlboro lights". Some are regulars who come in asking for them every day.
Marlboro lights don't exist. They haven't existed for 15 years. I understand that objectively, it's not a big deal, but for some reason I can't explain I find it insufferable.
They're called Marlboro gold. They've been called Marlboro gold for 15 years, and most of these people are smoking them every single day. There is absolutely no reason you should still be struggling to call them by the correct name 15 years later.
It's not just those specific ones, either, it's any "gold" cigarettes
"let me get a pack of Newport lights" those don't exist
"let me get a pack of Marlboro light menthols" that doesn't exist
"let me get a pack of Winston golds" there is no such thing
I understand it's not a big deal, I just don't understand why this is apparently so hard for so many people.
