Staff who have been there lots of years compared to new staff
I’ve been with the business about 4 years and I know we all have to cover multiple people’s work loads due to the business not employing enough staff.
However what I find interesting is staff who have been in store for a lot longer than me, can’t adapt to new ways of working. Also most grocery staff/ shop floor staff have no idea how to even print a label off or the correct process with waste- or at least removing it off the shop floor. I work in plans (scanning team) and the attitude is “that will do” with completing jobs to about 80% and leaving them.
I know regarding management they find ways to do as little as possible (most not all).
There seems to be a lot of built up resentment and It’s a weird culture for me as I take pride in doing a good job and things looking nice. The overall cleanliness is bad in store on a whole but it’s really annoying to see people being half arsed all the time or not adapting to a new role and helping out others.
