Brand new to notion... help! (for uni organization)

I am having a hard time wrapping my brain around how notion works. I have created a notes page for weekly lectures. I want to use the student planner but don't know how to link my notes pages to 'classes'. I want to be able to navigate like google classroom or canvas. Click on the class and it takes me to the notes page for that class. I feel like I'm missing how the parts of notion talk to each other.
