I broke up with my long distance boyfriend because he never talks to me

I know this may sound silly but my bf of 2 years moved to Georgia about 4 months ago to study medicine. Even before that I was the one who used to initiate texts (he never initiated but did respond) but after he moved there things changed he stopped responding completely and said that he's stressed out there. I do understand its stressful in a new country so I didn't bother him much. The problem is not that he didn't pick up my call but the problem is that even if he sees I've called he never used to call me back. This led me to becoming the sort of person who calls multiple times because then at some point he used to pick up ( I know it's my mistake and that I shouldn't have called so much but I missed him and wanted to just hear his voice ) When he picked up he used to say I'll call you later but never did. He has now come back to India but we live in different districts. Now that he's done with his semester I hoped he'd call or text me. Just a simple how was your day was what I expected ( Even I'm doing medicine in India) but even then I became the one texting and calling. He did respond to texts but after a week of no calls or texts from his side I was frustrated. He asked me to come and meet him ( alone at his house actually ) and I told him I'll only come if he says something nice about me (jokingly). He didn't. I also said he should call or text me but he didn't. And out of anger I told him we'll break up and he said okay. He didn't fight for me. Nothing. Instead he says he's been zoned out since moving to another country and that I don't understand him. He said he didn't expect this from me. I feel like I did something wrong. But I wanted something romantic like a conversation and I felt not so good about going to meet him alone since he's started to feel like a stranger and like I've been crying for his attention which I never got. Now he left me and talks so coldly I've since blocked him and I'm trying to move on but it's hard.

Did I sabotage this? Was there anything I could have done differently?
