Most reputable refurbished iPhone companies outside of Apple Certified?

I'm looking to replace my trusty iPhone 8+ after getting almost 8 solid years out of it. Recently borrowed an XS Max as a stop gap due to some issues with the 8+ until I got it fixed, and it made me realise just how far behind it is compared to even an XS Max, which is also considered "old" nowadays.

Saw a video on YT last night about a company called Back Market, and honestly, it was FRIGHTENING how badly refurbished their phones were. Most people will see the outside of a refurb and accept it for what it is, but obviously it's all about what's going on inside the device. From missing screws to cheap screen replacements, Back Market clearly didn't care what they were selling.

It really opened my eyes as to what you could possibly end up getting with a refurb.

So, is there ANYWHERE outside of Apple Certified that's actually reputable?

TIA.
