Serial number not matching with guitar finish

Hello everyone. A few months ago i traded my fender classic series mim strat for a prs se custom with seymour duncans (i wanted to try a prs). Now, im HATING the prs body shape. I find it really uncomfortable to play while sitting, and even though it sounds and plays great, i put it up for sale hoping to get another classic series or a player II after selling. This morning, a guy messages me offering exactly what I wanted, a classic series strat modded with USA pickups and USA electronics. The problem is, when i put the sn on the official fender serial number lookup website, it says that it should be surf green, but in the photos its in sunburst. What do I do here? Do I just stay away from the trade? Im afraid it might be a cheap squier body.
