can i become a lecturer in future with the degree of ba programs by du or do i need to opt for the specific hons course

im a humanities student and about to give cuet this year, i dont have much career counselling guidance from anywhere. my ultimate goal is to become a lecturer but i dont know what qualifications it'll need and im just going with the flow and am completely unaware of what i have to do. my main query is that i am not very good with the general test topics, so

1. i was wondering if i need to give gt or not because honours courses do not require gt in delhi university
2. if i give gt and pursue ba pass programs and go for the 4yr honours degree minus research then will i still be qualified to do further studies and become a lecturer?
3. if i do give gt but i dont score well in it, will it affect my domain score? i really need to clear these doubts urgently if someone could please help, thank you.
