Recommendation for family/regular photography with USD3000 budget?

What should I buy?

Hi there,

I've been using Olympus Em10 mk2 for a decade and now looking for an upgrade to mirrorless full frame. I'd mainly take pictures of kids - just regular portraits and perhaps landscapes for trips from time to time.

My budget is around USD 3,000 max - hopefully I can just manage at around USD 2,500 with decent lens. I do have some good memories of my previous dslr - d5300 - so I was thinking of purchasing Z6ii or even Z5. I can technically buy Z6iii, but leaning towards Z6ii because it is cheaper and slightly lighter.

I did take a look at Sony A7C2 and Canon R6mk2 - both are great cameras but A7C2's viewfinder and lcd screen didn't look so great and Canon's high-end lenses seem just too expensive. Would Z6ii be a fair choice at this point? Thank you in advance.
