Account Merge questions

Hello, I have been on ps5 since game release but I will be joining the PC league soon. I am a skinessiuer and have spent money on a few skins from the store. I know they have said cross-progression eventually but when it is introduced will I be able to merge the accounts and keep all skins? Or should I avoid buying any further skins on my Pc account until cross progression is introduced?
