Am I insane to not want to give my password out to Social Media Managers?

Professional Discussion

I'm a sysadmin for a company with Social Media presence in a few countries and languages. We work with some professional agencies and some smaller consultants who handle translation/reposting.

Some of the smaller consultants are repeatedly asking me for the Facebook/Instagram passwords to the main accounts. When I tell them that it's not possible and that they need to be added as collaborators/editors through Meta Business Suite, they act like I'm a fucking idiot and that all of their other clients just give them the main password.

I understand Business Suite is a piece of shit, but I think it's insane to just hand out the main password instead of using the account management features to add users. I've already gone through the work to reclaim some accounts previously, no way in hell I'm going through that again.

Is password sharing crazy or actually the normal business practice?
