Are my skills valuable? Should I stay in my current company or resign?
I am an Embedded Engineer working at a company in Kerala. Most of my projects so far have been academic. I have experience with STM32, ESP32, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and FPGA development. Additionally, I am proficient in C, C++, VHDL, and Python.
I also have hardware knowledge, including circuit design, PCB design, and component selection. My experience extends to RTOS, threading, OpenCV, and AI in embedded systems. I have worked with simulation software like Proteus and MATLAB as well.
Despite having a broad skill set, my projects have primarily been academic. Currently, I have completed 1.5 months at my company, but I am unsure if my diverse experience will be useful for my next job.
My dream is to secure a high-paying job in an MNC, but despite applying to many positions, I haven’t received any responses. This has led me to self-doubt, making me question whether having broad knowledge without a specialized skill is a disadvantage.
I am considering resigning from my current job, but I’m unsure if this is the right decision. What is your opinion?
