ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) compliance is a growing challenge for businesses. Companies need to prove their sustainability efforts, but the current system is slow, expensive, and unreliable.

Right now, ESG compliance is:
	•	Complicated – Companies spend months gathering energy data, verifying reports, and dealing with audits.
	•	Costly – Compliance costs are rising, and many businesses struggle to meet sustainability targets.
	•	Unreliable – Carbon credits and renewable energy claims are often unverifiable or double-counted.

This is where Edma comes in. Instead of relying on outdated processes, unverifiable claims, and third-party audits, we’re using blockchain and AI to create a transparent, automated, and fraud-proof compliance system.

How It Works

Step 1: Real-Time Energy Tracking

Most companies today rely on self-reported data for ESG compliance, meaning they manually collect and submit energy usage or sustainability reports. This opens the door to errors, greenwashing, and unverifiable claims.

Edma eliminates this by integrating IoT devices, smart meters, and blockchain tracking to record real-time energy production. Whenever renewable energy is generated, the data is:
	•	Automatically verified by connected IoT sensors.
	•	Timestamped and recorded on the blockchain for full transparency.
	•	Tamper-proof, meaning the data cannot be changed or manipulated.

This ensures that every kilowatt-hour of clean energy is instantly accounted for and traceable.

Step 2: Energy Tokenization

Once energy is verified, it needs to be converted into something companies can use for ESG compliance. This is where tokenization comes in.
	•	For every 10 kWh of verified renewable energy, an ETT (Energy Tracking Token) is minted on the blockchain.
	•	These tokens act as certified proof of renewable energy generation and are linked to specific energy producers.
	•	Unlike traditional compliance credits, ETT tokens cannot be faked, duplicated, or manipulated since they exist on an immutable blockchain.

This means that businesses no longer have to rely on third-party verification or trust unverifiable carbon offsets. They now have access to real, traceable energy-backed assets.

Step 3: Automated ESG Reporting

One of the biggest pain points for companies today is that ESG reporting is a manual, time-consuming process. Reports must be compiled from multiple sources, verified, and submitted to regulators—often taking months.

Edma changes this by using AI-powered compliance automation:
	•	AI scans the blockchain-verified energy data and compiles real-time ESG reports.
	•	These reports meet global compliance standards (e.g., MiCA, SEC ESG disclosures, Green-e).
	•	Companies can generate instant ESG audit reports that are already validated by blockchain data.

This significantly reduces compliance costs and eliminates the risk of inaccurate or manipulated ESG claims.

Step 4: Direct Access to Carbon & Compliance Markets

Traditionally, businesses purchase carbon credits and renewable energy certificates (RECs) from brokers, who often source them from unverifiable projects.

With Edma, companies can:
	•	Buy tokenized compliance credits directly from verified renewable energy producers.
	•	Ensure that every purchased credit corresponds to real clean energy production.
	•	Avoid intermediaries, fraud, and double-counted credits.

This creates a fully transparent ESG compliance system where sustainability claims can be proven instantly.

Why This Matters
	•	For Businesses: ESG compliance becomes faster, cheaper, and fully automated. No more manual reporting.
	•	For Renewable Energy Producers: Even small producers can sell verified compliance credits directly to corporations, opening up new revenue streams.
	•	For the ESG Industry: The entire system becomes more transparent, fraud-proof, and efficient.

Right now, ESG compliance is a $4.73 trillion industry built on outdated processes. Edma is changing that by making sustainability reporting instant, verifiable, and accessible to everyone.
