Need a laptop ~1000Eur for work/programming

Laptop Request -Others

Hi, I would like to get some laptop suggestions (more than 3) for work. Also havent really followed the laptop cpus, which one better to pick amd or intel?

  • Total budget (in local currency) and country of purchase: Europe ~1000EUR
  • Are you open to refurbs/used? Probably not because there wont be a big selection to choose from but openminded if there is a good deal
  • How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life? Would prefer durability- metal body (had expierence with lenovo Ideapad plastic base just ripping the hinges and screws after a while) maybe also not looking like a brick, dont need "gaming laptop", getting good battery life would be nice
  • How important is weight and thinness to you? Dont really care as long as it dosent look like a 15 year old laptop
  • Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. 14-16
  • Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. Mostly VS code and VS 2022 would be nice if ram is 16GB+ (maybe upgradable?)
  • If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? Nope
  • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? Type-c charging, good build quality, Decent screen
  • Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion. To sum everything up just need laptop for programming/browsing web/working. Type-C charging 16GB+ ram required. Nice things to have - good screen, cpu, preferably good metal build.
