Modifying a 2024 208 Allure
I purchased a Peugeot 208 Allure 1.2 (100) in December 2024, it’s the new facelift model. I actually love the little car, it’s only a little city runabout, I have another car and my partners car we use for long distance.
I don’t want a loud exhaust or a pop and bang remap, I don’t want any body modifications or anything like that, I want it to look completely stock, apparently an off the shelf remap would push 150bhp. How true that is I don’t know, that just comes from the online calculator.
All I want is a little more power.
My main concern is the wet belt, I would obviously service the car every year through the dealership, but I’m also assuming a remap would put that wet belt under more stress which would shorten the life of the belt. I know they’ve made revisions to fix the wet belt issues but I want some opinions, is this something I should do, or is the risk too high should I keep it stock?
