Fake JD and not really looking for a EA/PA
Hey everyone, been in this business for 10 plus years but recently been looking for a new job. All I do is apply, had a few interviews but of course between the salary way below Market value. They have this weird idea of what an Executive Assistant is.
Yesterday I had this interview, was for a legal firm that specializes in visas. I have background in law and I explained that. The recruiter then tells me that isn’t what is needed. They want someone to be at the secondary entity as more of a front of house worker. Since an EA is a more fluid role.
I asked for her to clarify, so she said they need someone 2-3 days a week working nights at their studio doing customer service.
I was kind of floored as to why they would advertise for a EA when they just want something completely different.
Has anyone else had experiences like this?
