My views on IGL case.

Culture & Heritage

In Uttar Pradesh, there's a tradition, when groom arrives at bride's place with Baaraat, the bride's family's relatives sing abusive songs for about half an hour or more. The songs contain all offensive words for groom's family and his sister and all his family members. All this in the presence of all kids and everyone.

Go search youtube "bhojpuri wedding gaali songs" there are hundreds of videos over there.

This is part of a culture which doesn't give a F about sanskaar and sanskriti. And then, there are people who say 'joke me gali nahi deneka'.

I don't endorse IGL or the members or the stuff they said or even gali dena is cool.

But hey, no one points out that gali dena is actually a part of a culture in some parts on India and that is totally okay and celebrated.

One thing I've noticed over the last 10 years is that This Government has a list of 10 sentimental things that it can use for diversions. They use like 3 of them in a row one after the other and blow some of them out of proportion and use the media houses to run news over it day and night to dilute actual issues faced by comman man.
