Cost effective ski passes for the remainder of the season

I've just arrived in France to begin my working holiday visa and I'm looking at spending the remaining winter months somewhere in the mountains. I'm hoping to find a mountain with an economical ski pass that doesn't break the bank. I won't have a car, so whilst I'm happy to stay in a town near a mountain if that's cheaper, I'll need to take buses, so if anyone has any recommendations for where is the best set up for this, that'd be amazing. I'm also happy to work a job that offers ski passes/discounted ski days, but I'm aware it's an awkward time of the season to be doing this!

I previously lived in Banff and the Ski Big 3 pass was set up really well for visiting the 3 mountains and included shuttles to/from the mountains so a similar set up would be great, but the internet has too much information available and I'm struggling to filter out the price gauging sites.
