Group Project with Workaholics- What to do?
So, I'm in a group project where my teammates are highly motivated, but to the point that I'm gettin left out. For example, we had a meeting scheduled for 2:00 the other day, but they met at 1:00 and started working ahead. When I got to the meeting they explained that they both got to the meeting early and decided to work while they were together. So I spent the rest of the meeting trying to catch up and figure out why they made the decisions they did. I ended up doing grunt work while they made more decisions in a conversation I couldn't participate in because I was trying to figure out what is going on.
Then last night in class, while the professor was giving a lecture, I saw my teammate was working ahead again. So I jumped on the doc to try to help- the professor definitely noticed and commented on our lack of participation. Again, she was making more decisions.
Today I found out they had two other meetings, making other major decisions that I'm trying to wrap my mind around. At this point, I don't even really know what our project is anymore. I keep asking them if I'm doing enough and they say yes, it's all good, but they only defer to one another for decisions. I feel like I'm their employee/dog or something.
I'm starting to get frustrated because I'm not learning, I'm playing catch up. I feel like I'm at a disadvantage because I can't hangout on campus all day like they do- I have a long commute home.
