Mrcs Part a

I wanted to ask when most people take the MRCS Part A, online it recommends CT1 but i've heard of people doing it foundation years.

With the training post crisis atm and people taking F4+ years, do people ever get close to the 7 year deadline for Part B if they sit in foundation years? And would it help a CST application to have sat Part A early? TYIA
