Please help me out guys

I’ve been wanting to join the navy for so long but I recently had an incident where my gun went off in my house and the neighbors reported the shot and they charged me with the worst they could (felony reckless endangerment) my lawyer said there not gonna prosecute it but I know the arrest itself will still be on my record, is there anyway I could still join since I’ll never get charged with it but still having the arrest for the felony on my record ?
