Hot Sauce and the fridge

I understand that hot sauce bottles all say refrigerate after opening. And I'm not looking for medical advice or whatever haha. But im curious how many of you actually do refrigerate after opening. I for one, never do. I recall reading somewhere long ago that it's better not to do so and since then I quit.
