Is Teacher's college an excellent investment?

Hi folks,

I’m (26m) currently considering teacher’s college and whether it would be the right fit for me. I’m looking into Brock University, Wilfrid Laurier University in Brantford, and York University as potential options.

I have three years of teaching experience at colleges in Ontario and hold a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Political Science. These qualifications align with teachable subjects in social studies and history.

I’m wondering if pursuing teacher’s college would be a worthwhile investment, particularly in terms of job stability. Could teachables in the social sciences lead to a permanent position after a year of LTOs (Long-Term Occasional teaching)? Is the job market for permanent positions or even LTOs extremely competitive right now? Should I re-consider and pursue something else?
