Microphone when screen recording gives me weird audio issues

I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max. While screen recording with the microphone disabled, everything is okay. However, if I turn my microphone on and screen record, the audio that I hear is really weird. It sounds hollow and convoluted as if it’s the microphone audio I’m hearing instead of the speaker audio that I should be hearing. If i play the screen recording back however, it sounds normal. The problem is only when I’m screen recording.
