Is Afrobeat the Future of Global Music? My Experience Blending Afrobeat, Amapiano & Hip-Hop in My Latest Track
Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about how Afrobeat has evolved over the years. From Fela Kuti’s origins to Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Asake taking it worldwide, the genre keeps growing. But recently, I’ve noticed how Afrobeat is blending with Amapiano, Hip-Hop, and even Drill.
I just dropped a track called "Money", where I experimented with Afrobeat + Amapiano drums + Hip-Hop flows. It’s a high-energy track about hustle, success, and the college grind. I’d love to hear what you all think about Afrobeat’s global influence.
Do you think Afrobeat is the future of global music?
Which artists are pushing the boundaries the most right now?
Have you heard Afrobeat blended with other genres in cool ways?
Would love to hear your thoughts! Also, if you're curious about my experiment, here’s the song: https://audiomack.com/nappy2-0/song/money?key=money
