How to handle a difficult talking stage and when to take it a step further?

question

Hello I will summarize the situation as short as i can think of. I (24 m) know her (26 f) for over 6 years now and we got to know eachother through the same group of friends. We always shared some interest but never really got to hang out alone until 3 months ago. Which was 1 month after her recent breakup but i didnt know at the time. We really clicked once we started seeing eachother more and more and meet up 1-2 times a week depending on our schedules and so on while we text daily. We still are in the talking stage if this will ever be called like that cause that is my main issue i feel like. Are we really going that direction or is it just friends? I dont wanna push her into things after i got to know the she still has to figure things out after her recent breakup from a long term relationship. She knows my position and also that i can imagine more but i also told her that we dont need to rush anything cause i want to respect her situation. She is also very shy and i dont expext her to confess to me once she has closure from her past if she ever catches feeling for me of course. I know she needs more time, she told me exactly that. And and i know there is no clear answer to how long that period of time should or will be. But coming to my question. How can I handle this situation correctly for both of us to not get hurt? Me making too much from nothing and hoping too much and/or pushing her into a position she doesnt want to be in.
