Early game possible bug

So I've been playing and just finished the first area. The entire time they have been talking about me being murdered and brought back to life and even got me to investigate my murder.

The only issue is that I never got murdered. I entered the city from the east and went straight to the ambassador.

Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Apart from that. Excellent game so far
