Advice Wanted

Okay, so I have been locking my hair for four months now. My four months came up last week, and since I've been pretty much semi-freeforming, I thought I'd treat myself and went to get my hair retightened. This week, I noticed small holes in my loc, and I'm no pro but I used a crochet hook to try to close up the holes. For the most part, the holes are crocheted in, but there are some tiny parts I couldn't merge together. It's only been four months and I know my hair still has ways to go, so do y'all think it would be wise to just leave it and do it's thing, I'm thinking that with frequent washes and the general loc process, the small holes will fill in. But I'm also worried that that won't happen and I'll damage my locs, so maybe it's best to see a different person/actual professional for loc maintenance?

What are y'all's thoughts on this?
