Condom advice

My girl tells me normal condoms are too small for me, but while I’m not small, I don’t feel like I’m quite xl condom size. How do I know if the condom is too small and I need to step up a size?

With standard ones it makes my head have a squeezed look and it only goes about 3/4 of the way down my shaft. It doesn’t fall off or move though. I can send/post a pic if it would help.
