You should make your partner do the laundry - FOREVER.

I'm dead serious.

I cook and wash dishes more than my partner but, fairly even split for cooking these days. He bakes almost weekly as a hobby.

MAKE 👏 THEM 👏 DO 👏 THE 👏 LAUNDRY 👏

Like literally forever. I wish when we first were married I had insisted on this. It makes zero sense for both people to do dishes and laundry which in our household are daily occurrences.

After a party we host he helps clean up dishes and maybe once every other month I'll throw a load of laundry in the washer.

In the past 3 years I have put my own laundry away three times, and put his laundry away once when he was sick.

Of course we aren't slobs. I don't throw my clothes everywhere and he doesnt leave his dishes more than a foot from the sink in the rare instance it's full.

It's nice to just have someone else always taking care of something and your own expectations aligned.
