It was me, and I don’t regret it
I was 13 at the time, 22 now. Trans male but female presenting at the time. I was on a weekend trip with my youth group, a very large one, and all 30 or so girls between 12-13 were crammed into a cabin in the woods. I was sort of an outcast, my only friend being this weird boy with blue hair named Alex (who is still my friend to this day). He was strange and mostly talked about Pokémon (which I knew nothing about), but then again, I was strange and only talked about theatre. That first day I woke up and slipped out of my cabin while all the other girls were busy doing their makeup and/or gossiping. I booked it to the game area across from camp, still locked, but next to the outside basketball court I knew I would find Alex hanging around. I was on a mission, and I needed assistance. Alex was quickly enlisted, and we began scouring the area around my cabin for the countless toads that had steadily inspired me through the night. With one hand I pulled out the front of my t-shirt, and with the other I filled the makeshift pocket with every toad I could get my hands on, like some sort of power crazy barely pubescent toad god. Here and there, Alex would circle back to me, obediently depositing handfuls of disgruntled toads. Once my shirt could not possibly hold any more toads, I knew it was time. I peeked into the cabin, giving it a once over. There were a few stragglers, but the majority of the giggle of girls had dispersed. This did not faze me. I was strange, and in an environment such as a Christian youth group, strange meant that I was functionally invisible. I walked right past the stragglers and into the communal bathroom entirely unnoticed. I heaved my sagging shirt onto the bathroom counter, and released my army into the middle sink, so that anyone entering the bathroom wouldn’t immediately see the toad bomb that I had deposited. I don’t remember changing my shirt, and frankly I don’t think I ever even thought to. I was a 13 year old boy in the body of an invisible girl after all. Alex and I waited in anticipation, barely able to hold in our idiot snickers, against the outside back wall of the cabin, just on the other side of the bathroom. It was a perfect morning, so all the windows in the cabin were open. It only took about five minutes for the shrieks to start, and the shrieks only multiplied as the attention of more and more girls did. Alex and I were cackling at this point, and ran off as we realized that they might be able to hear us.
TL;DR At 13, I built an army of toads with my friend Alex and put them all in the sink in the girls cabin bathroom at Christian youth camp
