What is your opinion on middle/easter European immigrants?

I am asking this as a Hungarian, studying to be an engineer, who is planning to move to lreland in a few years and also settle there.

The reason I'm asking is that I have heard that the Irish aren't really fond of their immigrants. However I have found that the sources of these informations only refer to mass immigrantion, therefore I'm concerned what you might think of me as I move and also how hard will it be to find friends and get a decent position in work.
