Thoughts on the name Marvin?

Context: this is my favorite and only pick for the name of my second child if I have another boy.

My husband and son are both named Matthew and I love the idea of keeping the M thing going. Our current top pick for a girl is Maeve and I absolutely LOVE Marvin for a boy.

My husband went from on the fence, to on board and is now not on board at all because it’s “too weird.” We’ve asked a bunch of friends and everyone is hating on the name.

My reasoning for why it’s a good name: Starts with an M Unique but not odd Classic name like Matthew is Similar to a family name (Mervin) Rolls off the tongue

Am I the only one who loves Marvin?! It seems everyone but me is a hater! (Help me get my husband on board!!)
