Burning, Itching and Red Bumps Due to Anxiety/Nervousness – Need Advice (21M)
Hi, I’m a 21-year-old male and I’ve been dealing with an unusual issue for the past 9 years (started when I was 12). Before that, I had no such problems.
Here’s what happens:
- When I feel anxious or nervous (and sometimes in the sun, but not always), I experience a burning and itching sensation all over my body.
- It mainly affects my scalp, face, chest, back, and sometimes my legs or the area above my hips.
- Occasionally, light red bumps appear, especially on my chest and hands.
- I feel relief when I move to a cooler place or wash with cold water.
Some context:
- This problem is primarily triggered by anxiety or nervousness, which I experience frequently due to personal reasons and a history of poor mental health since childhood.
- Heat can sometimes make it worse, but the burning and itching are usually tied to how anxious I feel.
Has anyone experienced something similar or knows what this could be? Any advice on managing or reducing these symptoms—especially for anxiety-related triggers—would be really helpful!
Thank you!
