Question

When I was younger I helped transport marijuana, was in a bad spot and had no money. Im going to be honest about this but I already believe that my clearance would get denied for this. I have nothing to hide. I have a very strong work background in securing areas that are not supposed to be accessible to public, let alone some of their own employees. Though I still do not have a clearance. Something I was seeking to obtain to broaden my work opportunities. In security fields do some companies sponsor clearance process? I saw allied has some posts which require clearance but they do not sponsor clearance which is very odd. Please share your thoughts
