Feeling high after coughing… Can THC get trapped in your lungs/mucus?

I’ve seen people mention it before but no one has actually properly asked.

For some reason ever since I started smoking, if I cough hard I get a genuine feeling of getting high that lasts 5 - 15 minutes. And I swear it’s not placebo because I feel high minutes after a small coughing fit sometimes without consciously acknowledging I coughed.

It could probably be my brain fooling itself either way excitement because of how much coughing is associated with getting high for me.

But if it is THC getting trapped in the mucus inside my lungs then it could probably be because I smoke a lot of carts which is oil that can be stuck in my mucus which basically sit there until I cough really hard and somehow it’s absorbed again.

As you can tell I just experienced this which made me want to make this post. I had a coughing fit like 2 minutes ago and I’m getting higher as I write this which is obvious but my run on sentences. And I haven’t smoked in about a day.

I’m onto nothing prolly.
